Girls Love to Code — Program Overview

Girls Love to Code is a STEM confidence-building program created by Children Across America that introduces girls ages 4–11 to coding, robotics, and technology through fun, hands-on learning experiences.

The program was designed to address the early confidence gap many girls experience in STEM fields. By creating a supportive, girls-focused environment, participants learn foundational technology skills while developing creativity, problem-solving abilities, and leadership confidence.

Girls in the program explore topics such as:

• Basic coding logic and beginner programming
• Robotics and engineering challenges
• Creative technology projects
• Digital problem solving and critical thinking
• Collaboration and teamwork

Through guided instruction and mentorship, girls gain the confidence to experiment, ask questions, and discover that they are capable of building and understanding technology.

The program prioritizes access for underserved families, ensuring that cost is not a barrier to participation. Sponsorships and community partnerships help provide robotics kits, laptops, curriculum materials, and scholarships so that every girl has the opportunity to participate.
